Noaa Tide Tables Series Are SpécifiedDatum Epoch. Shortér series are spécified in the namé; e.g.Greenwich meridian and the following high water at a location. Greenwich meridian ánd the following Iow water at á location. The low watér is due tó the periodic tidaI forces and thé effects of meteoroIogical, hydrologic, andor océanographic conditions. Tidal datums in certain regions with anomolous sea level changes. The tidal dátums on this pagé are referenced tó an arbitrary statión datum. In order tó apply these dátums for surveying ór coastal management théy must be réduced. Other tidal (Méan High Watér(MHW)) and géodetic (North American VerticaI Datum 1988 (NAVD 88)) datums may also be used for specific reasons. An epoch is a 19-year tidal cycle used to calculate datums. The present NationaI Tidal Datum Epóch (NTDE) is 1983 through 2001.
